Job Purpose

The post holder will be responsible for the ownership of monthly accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, team management and own the AP & AR processes and support the FC and CFO on a daily basis.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Preparation and maintaining budgets.
  • Supporting FP&A function with payroll reporting, inputting monthly actuals and updating forecasts.
  • Ownership of monthly management accounts and initial review.
  • Ownership of ledgers to ensure accuracy of data.
  • Submit monthly data required by HMRC and completion of the required payroll year end processes.
  • Preparation of pension reconciliation and update and maintenance of submissions
  • Accurate and timely processing of pension payments.
  • Preparation and completion of monthly, quarterly and annual data as requested from the Office for National Statistics.
  • Support the Finance Assistants in delivery of key result areas.
  • Support the Financial controller with all required reconciliations and procedures in preparation for the year end audit.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

Essential

  • Industry experience, including management accounts
  • Professional qualification in accountancy i.e. ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
  • Strong MS Excel skills, able to competently use spreadsheets
  • Experience of working to deadlines, in a high-pressure environment
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • The ability to communicate concisely, assertively and effectively with various professional disciplines and at all levels of an organisation
  • The ability to work effectively under own initiative and also as a member of a team
  • An ability to maintain absolute confidentiality
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to anticipate and prioritise diverse workload
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Self-motivated and able to initiate routine and non-routine work as necessary

The exciting role will pay between £45,000 to £50,000 depending on the experience.
