We are seeking an Accounts Administrator to join our team on a temporary to permanent basis. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounts administration, proficient in managing financial records and compliance.
Day-to-day of the role:- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and address any discrepancies promptly.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Prepare and send updated debtors lists to senior managers weekly.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve inconsistencies effectively.
- Update internal spreadsheets for debtors and fuel expenses, allocating costs appropriately.
- Perform credit card analysis and accurately post transactions to the ledger.
- Maintain a clear and organized inbox, resolving all queries daily.
- Handle utility bills, penalty charge notices (PCNs), and related inquiries efficiently.
- Assist with external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Provide general administrative support to the finance team as required.
- Minimum GCSE C grade in Maths and English.
- Minimum AAT Level 2; desirable AAT Level 3 and/or Level 4.
- Proven experience in an accounts administration role or similar.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
