Are you an experienced Paraplanner looking to join a modern, Chartered firm where financial planning is at the heart of everything?

We’re working with a highly regarded financial planning and investment business to recruit a new Paraplanner for their expanding team in St Albans.

The company has experienced uninterrupted growth since its founding over a decade ago and now employs more than 80 staff across several UK locations. The firm prides itself on delivering clear, purpose-driven advice with a competitive cost structure and long-term client focus. As a Chartered business, it has been regularly featured in the Top 100 Financial Advice Firms by FT Adviser and New Model Adviser, and is backed by one of Europe’s leading independent financial services groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with a small number of advisers through daily update meetings

  • Conduct detailed technical research and provide support on complex client cases

  • Produce tailored and compliant suitability reports

  • Build cashflow models and prepare documentation ahead of client reviews

  • Handle client communications and processing requests such as withdrawals, contributions, and Letters of Authority

  • Attend client meetings where required and assist with post-meeting follow-up

  • Maintain up-to-date records on systems such as iO and ensure full compliance

You will be joining a well-structured paraplanning function supported by trainee advisers and administrators, working in a blend of pod-based and centralised workflows. This ensures shared expertise and clear accountability across the team.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in a paraplanning role within a financial planning firm

  • Level 4 Diploma (R01-R06) or near completion

  • Confident technical knowledge across pensions, investments, and IHT planning

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, organised approach

  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a broader team
