About the Company
We are a well-established manufacturer of low voltage (LV) switchgear, delivering high-quality solutions to clients across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join our team at our St. Albans premises.
The Role
As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will play a key role in overseeing projects from contract award through to installation and commissioning. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, including LV switchgear, package substations, and control/monitoring systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from receipt of contract through to final commissioning.
- Take full responsibility for the commercial and technical aspects of projects.
- Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, and suppliers.
- Attend site meetings and provide technical support as required.
- Work closely with our draughting engineers and production team to deliver quality solutions.
- Review and select suitable electrical components for project requirements.
- (Desirable) Produce electrical control schematic diagrams.
About You
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Experience in electrical design of LV switchgear and package substations.
- Knowledge of protection relays and power factor correction equipment.
- Familiarity with control and monitoring systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (desirable).
- (Advantageous) Knowledge of MV switchgear as part of wider contract projects.
