Job Title: Building Surveyor
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
Duration: Permanent - 2 days WFH & 3 in the office
Benefits : 25 days holiday, Pension, Bonus
Location: St Albans

Purpose of the role:
- You will be instrumental in managing the practice’s growing workload, supporting our existing client base while also helping to drive new business opportunities. As part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of the business.
Day to Day responsibilities:
- Manage a broad range of surveying projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties.
- Undertake professional surveying services including defect diagnosis, project management, party wall matters, and dilapidations.
- Build and manage relationships with existing clients, while actively seeking and developing new business opportunities.
- Work independently with flexible working arrangements (remote and office-based work available).
- Contribute to strategic growth initiatives within the practice.
- Support and mentor junior team members as the business continues to grow.
Skills and Attribute:
- MRICS qualified (not essential).
- 3 + years experience required
- Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of building surveying disciplines.
- Commercially aware, with an appetite for developing new client relationships.
- Personal attributes: methodical, thorough, organised, precise , personable, attention to detail and resourceful.
- Excellent client-facing skills with a professional and proactive approach.
