BIM Technician - Building Services (Revit MEP)
Location: St. Albans
Salary: 40,000 - 50,000
An award-winning and forward-thinking building services consultancy is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Revit MEP Technician to join their expanding BIM team. About the Role:
As a BIM Technician, you'll collaborate closely with engineers and BIM specialists to develop accurate and coordinated 3D Revit MEP models and supporting 2D documentation across RIBA Work Stages 1-5.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage Revit MEP models for:
- Mechanical ventilation, heating, and cooling systems
- Domestic water and drainage systems
- Electrical containment and distribution
- Coordinate MEP services with architectural and structural layouts
- Generate detailed 2D drawings, schematics, and Revit schedules
- Manage COBie data integration and model parameters
- Build and modify Revit families and system components
- Contribute to model automation and data workflows using Dynamo
- Maintain compliance with internal BIM/CAD standards and document protocols
Requirements:
- Must have the right to work in the UK (British citizenship or valid work visa)
- Relevant technical qualification (degree or diploma in Building Services Engineering or similar)
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Revit MEP in a building services environment
Desirable Skills (Training Available):
- Navisworks or Revizto for clash detection
- Understanding of COBie data requirements
- Familiarity with ISO 19650 and BIM Level 2 standards
- Basic Dynamo scripting knowledge
