The postholder will provide financial planning, monthly reporting and other financial support services for designated Frontline Council and Support services delivered by the Council.Main Responsibilities
  • Producing monthly management reports and variance analysis
  • Reviewing the Full Year Forecast with Budget Mangers and revising as needed Supporting Service Managers and Heads of Service to provide action-oriented commentary in Chief Executive’s monthly Board report
  • Highlighting risk of overspend and income shortfalls to avoid financial problems going undetected
  • Providing financial information, analysis and recommendations to areas in order to enable management to make financially sound business decisions
CandidateCriteria
  • AAT Qualified as a minimum
  • Experience at management accounting is essential with Local Authority experience preferred  
  • High level Excel skills including VLookup, SumIf and Pivot Tables.
  • Great communication skills with the ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team
