Client/Portfolio Manager - Top accounting firm St Albans, Hertfordshire - Hybrid £55,000 to £65,000Butler Rose are delighted to be supporting our client a highly prestigious, prominent and nationally based firm with fantastic offices based conveniently in the heart of the historic City of St Albans that are eager to recruit a highly skilled and well qualified accounting professional in a Manager level capacity. This role will take full responsibility for a diverse portfolio of SME clients spanning a varied range of industries to include managing, and reviewing the work of a small team, and developing existing and new clients. Role Requirements -

  • Manage your own portfolio of clients to include staff planning, management of WIP and billing
  • Build and further develop client relationships with existing and new clients
  • Present for partner review, complete files to a high standard
  • Act as the main point of contact for compliance queries from clients within portfolio
  • Quote and estimate fees within your level of authority
  • Meeting clients to pitch and tender for new work and putting together associated documents
  • Business development - attend new client meetings and networking events
  • Good awareness of cloud-based accounting techniques and systems
  • Effectively delegate work to, and mentor, the team
  • Provide feedback to junior and senior team members of quality of work/performance

Person Requirements -

  • ACA or ACCA qualified with significant experience gained working for a prominent UK based firm in a supervisory or manager level position taking responsibility for a client portfolio and servicing their accounting and taxation requirements.
  • Proven experience of managing, coaching and reviewing the work of a team
  • Strong commercial approach to business and confidence in developing existing as well as prospective clients.
