Exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join a Rail Construction contractor in the St Albans/ Hatfield area as an Assistant Bid Coordinator!
Looking for someone eager to learn and grow within a dynamic bid team, supporting the delivery of successful rail infrastructure projects. We offer a competitive daily rate of 200 - 250.
This is a 6 month contract which may be extended.
In this role, you'll gain valuable experience in:
- ITT Mastery: Reading and interpreting Invitations to Tender (ITTs) to understand client requirements and scope of work.
- Pricing Precision: Assisting in the preparation of civils tender pricing documents, working closely with the estimating team.
- Bid Team Collaboration: Coordinating bid activities and responses with the wider bid team, ensuring seamless communication and efficient workflow.
- Knowledge Management: Maintaining and updating our library of standard responses and incorporating valuable feedback received from clients.
- Estimating Support: Providing general administrative support to the Estimating team, contributing to the overall efficiency of the bidding process.
What we're looking for:
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- A proactive and enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Bonus points for:
- Experience in an administrative or coordination role within the construction, engineering, or rail sectors.
- Familiarity with the bid process or tendering procedures.
- Experience in a support role.
