Make a Real Impact Where People Come First
Ourt client is looking for a People HR Manager to help them nurture a positive, progressive and high-performing culture where everyone can do their best work.
Working closely with the Head of People, this is a hands-on role that balances strategic HR thinking with operational delivery. You'll lead and support key HR functions, champion employee wellbeing, and help shape the future of our workplace culture.

Daily Responsibilities:
HR Operations & Lifecycle Management
路Lead, coach and develop the People Officer.
路Manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle:
oRecruitment & onboarding - attract and secure top talent.
oInduction - ensure smooth integration and values alignment.
oPayroll - manage the payroll process and authorise monthly reports.
oPensions - ensure compliance with legislation.
oPerformance - support line managers and drive continuous improvement.
oInternal changes, probation, exits & offboarding.
路Keep HR policies and processes up to date, legally compliant, and in line with Lexcel/ISO standards.
路Support the creation of an HR data dashboard to analyse key people metrics and inform decisions.

Employee Relations & Culture
路Be the first point of contact for HR queries, approachable, consistent, and solutions-focused.
路Manage employee relations casework with care and professionalism.
路Support return-to-work interviews and monitor absence patterns.
路Work with the Head of People on training needs analysis and, where appropriate, deliver in-house training.
路Assist with key people projects including apprenticeships, Trainee programmes, and L&D initiatives.
路Provide absence cover for People support roles.
路Stay ahead of developments in employment law and best practice, supporting our culture of continuous improvement.

Essential skills & experience:
路Solid experience in a managerial or senior advisory HR role.
路Ideally experience within Law or professional services
路Experience managing high-volume, fast-paced HR operations.
路A relevant degree or CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience).
路A confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels.
路Proven line management experience.
路A good understanding of current UK employment law.
路Strong IT skills and experience with HRIS systems.
路Comfortable using and interpreting HR data and metrics.
路Experience within professional services or a commercially driven environment.
路Discreet, trustworthy, and empathetic.
