About the role:Horizon Teachers is looking for a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join a forward-thinking SEN school in Hertfordshire. You'll bring structure and clarity to broad learning goals, turning them into clear, measurable steps, ensuring no skill or concept is missed.You'll plan and deliver cross-curricular lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5, embedding life skills and foundational learning into every session. This is a temp-to-perm role with strong long-term potential for the right candidate.About the school:
  • Small class sizes: max. 10 pupils
  • Each class is supported by experienced Teaching & Learning Support Assistants
  • A nurturing, inclusive environment focused on pupil development
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver well-structured, cross-curricular lessons with a focus on life skills and core foundation learning.
  • Support pupils' personal and social development
  • Implement Individualised Learning Plans (ILPs) in partnership with SENCO and support staff.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) essential
  • Experience teaching KS3KS5 pupils essential
  • SEN and/or SEMH experience strongly desirable
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management
  • Excellent communication and teamwork
