This is a key interim role within the property team, handling both housing and non-housing assets, supporting statutory valuations, and managing a wide range of property transactions.Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake a broad range of estate and asset management duties, including landlord and tenant matters
  • Manage the Council’s property portfolio, including both operational and investment assets
  • Handle statutory asset valuations for financial reporting purposes
  • Support Right to Buy valuations and legislative compliance
  • Manage and process a variety of property-related transactions, such as:
    • Disposals
    • Wayleaves
    • Licence agreements
    • Relaxation of restrictive covenants
  • Liaise with legal services, external valuers, and stakeholders as required
  • Ensure records and asset registers are kept up to date
What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven experience in estate management, preferably within a local authority or public sector setting
  • Strong knowledge of property law, land management, and asset valuation
  • Understanding of Right to Buy legislation and statutory valuation processes
  • Experience managing property transactions and advising on legal matters
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • RICS qualification (or working towards) highly desirable
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise effectively
