Join our dedicated team as a Teaching Assistant, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting the educational, social, and physical needs of pupils. This position offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to the classroom environment and the overall school ethos under the guidance of the classroom teacher.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist in the delivery of curriculum activities, adapting methods and resources to meet diverse student needs including those of vulnerable, EAL, ARB, and SEN pupils.
  • Encourage and support pupils' social integration and personal development, employing strategies to boost their self-esteem.
  • Prepare and maintain teaching resources and classroom environments, including creating educational displays and managing materials.
  • Work closely with groups or individual pupils to gauge understanding, providing targeted support to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Supervise pupils during lunch and break times, and accompany them on educational visits and outings.
  • Provide feedback to teachers and school leaders on pupils' well-being and educational progress.
  • Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and care.
  • Administer basic first aid and manage minor medical tasks as trained.
  • Undertake administrative duties related to educational activities as directed by the teacher.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact positively with pupils and staff.
  • Knowledge of and ability to enforce school policies regarding health, safety, and confidentiality.
  • Commitment to professional development and willingness to engage in further training.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team within the school.
