Position: Mechanical Projects Design Engineer
Based in the Southwest of England, you will join a talented engineering team as a Mechanical Projects Design Engineer. Reporting directly to the Technical Director, you’ll play a key role in the design and development of both retractable and fixed tiered seating systems tailored to client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop retractable and fixed seating systems for public venues.

Create detailed mechanical designs using SOLIDWORKS.

Produce 3D models, assemblies, and 2D technical drawings for manufacturing.

Collaborate with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and installation crews to ensure clear communication and accurate implementation of designs.

Optimise designs and processes to improve cost-efficiency and simplify production and installation.

Occasionally visit project sites in the UK and abroad to oversee and verify installation accuracy.
Candidate Requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in mechanical design within the manufacturing sector.

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

Proficient in SOLIDWORKS and CAD/AutoCAD software.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing techniques including steel fabrication, injection moulding, casting, and finishing.

Full UK driving licence.

Willing to undertake occasional travel for site visits.

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
