We are currently recruiting for an EYFS / KS1 Teaching Assistant position in Primary Education for the Sutton area in schools' STRIDE intervention base. This position is for prompt start and is a long-term post.The school is a 2 form entry school located in the leafy suburb of Sutton in central St Helens and is close to excellent rail and travel links to surrounding areas. It is a Church of England primary school which prioritises active participation in learning whilst creating a happy environment for children and staff. You will be expected to immerse yourself in all aspects of the EYFS / KS1 curriculum and assist teaching staff to support pupils. Your new role.Your new role will see you working in the Early Years / KS1 framework. You will be expected to track and report developmental stages in connection with the curriculum and immerse yourself in daily activities. You will be working on a one-to-one basis with non-verbal pupils and are on the pathway for language and communication needs. The STRIDE intervention base will provide a calm and engaging workspace to help pupils in EYFS / KS1 and will see you working in group and individual intervention structures. You will work closely with teaching staff and follow the CPD calendar as denoted by the school. Experience of speech and language is desired by the school due to complexity of need. The school will accept applicants from child residential support and nursery care backgrounds. What you'll need to succeed.To be considered, you must have: - Experience of working within the EYFS Framework. - Enthusiasm, energy and flexibility. - Have experience of working with children within the last 3 years. - Highly motivated and driven to exceed expectations. - Up to date DBS preferred.
