SEN Secondary School Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive secondary school in St Helens. This is a full-time, permanent role, starting as soon as possible, offering you the chance to make a real impact in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs.



About the Role

  • Provide classroom and 1:1 support to secondary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs.

  • Work closely with teachers to deliver tailored learning activities and interventions.

  • Help to create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed.

  • Support pupils with their social, emotional and personal development, both in and out of lessons.



About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in working with young people, ideally within an SEN setting (school or care environment).

  • Patient, empathetic and resilient, with a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.

  • Able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.

  • Flexible and adaptable, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
