Are you a compassionate, patient and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with complex needs? We're seeking a PMLD Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and inspiring SEND team in St Helens.
The Role
As a PMLD Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties in their academic, social and personal development.
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver individualised education and care plans.
Assist with communication aids, sensory activities, and physical care routines.
Create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment that promotes independence and wellbeing.
Use creativity and empathy to help each child reach their potential.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Experienced in working with children or young people with complex or medical needs (school or care background welcomed).
Nurturing, patient and resilient, with a calm and positive attitude.
Comfortable supporting personal care and mobility needs (training provided).
Passionate about helping children achieve, no matter their starting point.
