Aspire People are working closely with a friendly and welcoming primary school in St Helens, who are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting young learners and wants to play a key role in helping children feel confident, engaged, and ready to learn. The school offers a positive, structured environment where staff work collaboratively to support pupils both academically and socially.
The role:
Supporting primary-aged pupils within the classroom, working 1:1 and in small groups.
Assisting the class teacher with daily classroom activities and lesson delivery.
Helping pupils stay focused, motivated, and engaged in learning.
Supporting children's social development, confidence, and positive behaviour.
Preparing learning resources and supporting classroom organisation.
Working closely with teaching staff to provide a consistent and supportive learning experience.
We're looking for someone who:
Has experience working with children, ideally within a primary school setting (school-based, childcare, or similar experience welcomed).
Is positive, patient, and approachable, with a genuine interest in supporting children's learning.
Can build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively.
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting children's wellbeing.
Can provide professional references.
Holds an Enhanced DBS or is willing to apply for one.
