We are currently looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join a leading engineering company based in the St Helens, Merseyside area. As the Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of various systems and machinery during night shifts.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Maintenance Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Complete nightly engineering checks such as fire-watch checks, guard checks, machine checks, and emergency stops.
2. Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) on systems and machines, including conveyors, crushers, optical sorters, and motors.
3. Address work orders and requests, and report any defects.
4. React promptly to breakdowns and look for process improvements to reduce downtime on process and plant.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Maintenance Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering or a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering.
2. Proven industry experience in working with conveyors.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with various systems and machinery maintenance.
