Our client, a well-established civils and groundworks contractor based in the North West, is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join their senior delivery team.
The Role:
- Lead and manage site and project engineers across multiple civils and groundworks schemes
- Oversee setting-out, quality assurance, and technical compliance
- Review drawings, specifications, and methodologies, identifying and resolving technical issues
- Ensure engineering standards, procedures, and best practice are maintained across projects
- Work closely with Project Managers, Commercial teams, and Directors to support successful project delivery
- Manage surveys, temporary works coordination, and subcontract engineering input where required
- Mentor and develop junior engineers within the business
About You:
- Proven experience in an Engineering Manager or Senior Engineer role within civils and groundworks
- Strong technical knowledge of earthworks, drainage, roads, and infrastructure
- Experience managing engineering teams on live construction sites
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem solving
- Relevant engineering qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
