Toolmaker

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Thermoforming Toolmaker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, manufacturing, and maintaining high-quality thermoforming tools and moulds used in the production of plastic products. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and a commitment to producing precision tools

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop thermoforming tools and moulds based on product specifications and engineering drawings.
• Operate and maintain CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, and other toolmaking equipment.
• Perform regular maintenance and repairs on existing tools to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve tooling issues.
• Conduct quality inspections of tools and moulds to ensure they meet design specifications and tolerances.
• Keep accurate records of tool designs, modifications, and maintenance activities.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in thermoforming technology and tooling techniques.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in toolmaking, machining, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in toolmaking, preferably in the thermoforming industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for designing tools and moulds.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining, milling, and lathe operations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
