We are seeking a skilled and experienced Thermoforming Toolmaker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, manufacturing, and maintaining high-quality thermoforming tools and moulds used in the production of plastic products. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and a commitment to producing precision tools
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop thermoforming tools and moulds based on product specifications and engineering drawings.
- Operate and maintain CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, and other toolmaking equipment.
- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on existing tools to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve tooling issues.
- Conduct quality inspections of tools and moulds to ensure they meet design specifications and tolerances.
- Keep accurate records of tool designs, modifications, and maintenance activities.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in thermoforming technology and tooling techniques.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in toolmaking, machining, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in toolmaking, preferably in the thermoforming industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for designing tools and moulds.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining, milling, and lathe operations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
