The Company – Procurement Officer:

Castlefield Recruitment are working with a public sector organisation to recruit a Procurement Officer to support the delivery of construction related projects. You will manage and run call-off competitions from a range of established construction and built-environment frameworks, ensuring compliance with UK procurement regulations and best practice.

The role – Procurement Officer:

  • The Procurement Officer will lead and manage call-off processes from construction related frameworks.
  • Prepare tender documentation, evaluation models and award reports in line with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
  • Support project teams and stakeholders to define requirements, evaluation criteria and procurement strategies.
  • Carry out supplier engagement, clarification and moderation meetings as required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement policies, templates and processes.
  • Maintain accurate records to support audit, transparency and reporting obligations.

The person – Procurement Officer:

  • Experience in public sector procurement, ideally within the construction, FM, estates or infrastructure sector – Essential
  • Familiarity with running mini-competitions or direct awards from frameworks – Essential
  • Knowledge of PCR 2015, NEC/JCT contracts and procurement best practice – Desirable
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills – Essential
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines – Essential
  • CIPS qualification (or working towards) – Desirable (support provided where necessary)
