- Building strong, meaningful relationships with children and their families
- Leading on assessments and creating tailored care plans
- Managing a varied caseload with a clear focus on safety, empowerment and sustainable change
- Collaborating closely with external agencies and integrated early help services
- Offering guidance and mentorship to students and unqualified staff
- Championing best practice, continuous improvement, and positive outcomes
- A Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England
- Minimum of 4 years post-qualified experience
- Strong knowledge of child protection, legislation, and statutory responsibilities
- A collaborative, creative and proactive approach to working with children and families
- Excellent communication, mediation, and negotiation skills
- Experience working within a multi-disciplinary or interagency environment
- A recognised Social Work qualification (SW, CSS, DipSW or equivalent)
- Experience working with looked-after children or within statutory children’s services
- Confidence managing complex cases with empathy, clarity, and purpose
