Reeson Education is looking for a committed and passionate Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive SEN school in the St Helens area . This Teaching Assistant role is full-time, long-term, and set to start ASAP.

This is a warm and welcoming SEN setting that caters to pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning difficulties. Many of the children have found mainstream school settings challenging, and this nurturing provision offers them the individualised care and tailored learning they deserve.

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work across the school, offering group support, one-to-one help, and in-class assistance. You'll play a vital role in creating a calm, encouraging, and structured learning space that empowers pupils to engage and progress.

Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:* Work as a Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEND in class, in groups, and 1:1* Help children regulate emotions, manage behaviours, and build confidence* Support learning across the curriculum and implement differentiated strategies* Liaise with teaching staff and therapists to follow care and learning plans* Encourage independence and celebrate every small win

The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will:* Be a reliable, proactive, and patient Teaching Assistant* Have experience supporting children with SEND, including ASD, SEMH, ADHD* Be confident working across year groups in a flexible and collaborative way* Have strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for inclusive education* Be enthusiastic and consistent in providing calm and positive support

Teaching Assistant Requirements:* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)* Right to work in the UK* References covering the last 2-3 years* Strong commitment to the role of a Teaching Assistant
