Reed Practice are delighted to be able to offer candidates working in the profession -or those with transferable skills and a strong desire to work in practice -  a chance to join this forward-thinking, modern, regional firm in the role of Accounts Technician, following a restructuring of the team.

Working alongside other Technicians and the manager, this position would suit those in practice, studying or completed all AAT exams, even those who are qualified by experience.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Processing client data to produce account to final stage.
  • Liaising with clients on a regular basis
  • Finalising file sections and cross-referencing schedules.
  • Completing transaction using Cloud accounting software
  • Producing draft VAT returns from client records, completing the full return once confirmed, submitting to HMRC.
  • Preparation of Corporate Tax returns, submission to HMRC.
  • Completing self-assessment tax returns including detailed Capital Gains calculations, prepare schedules of income from property.
  • Attending client’s premises to assist on external audit as and when required.
