We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a positive impact on the educational journey of our pupils.

Role Overview: We are seeking a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 learning support for a pupil with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role is crucial in helping the pupil stay on task with classwork, manage their behaviour, and regulate their emotions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with SEMH needs, ensuring they stay on task with classwork set by the teacher.
  • Assist with behavioural management and provide support in the sensory room when needed.
  • Liaise with the SENCO and class teacher to develop and implement a sustainable plan for the pupil.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and report on the pupil's progress and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEMH needs is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the SENCO and teaching staff.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting the pupil's development.
  • Availability to work full-time from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

Salary: Pay ranges from £77 to £85 per day, depending on experience.
