Purchasing Administrator
Location: St Neots
Salary: £14 - £15 per hour
Job Type: Full Time, Temp to Perm
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8.30am – 5pm
Our client, a reputable organisation based in St Neots, is seeking a proactive and adaptable Purchasing Administrator to join their dynamic team. This role is perfect for someone with excellent communication and IT skills who thrives in an office environment and enjoys making a tangible impact on the business operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Answer and manage incoming phone calls with a professional and helpful approach.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers via telephone and email to chase order acknowledgments and update expected delivery dates.
- Review supplier delivery confirmations and promptly highlight potential delays to the team.
- Email purchase orders to vendors, addressing or escalating any issues to the appropriate buyer(s).
- Maintain accurate and detailed notes on purchase orders, recording any changes or updates.
- Provide ad hoc support such as following up on overdue orders or liaising with couriers to track deliveries.

- Communication: Confident in making phone calls and interacting with team members to share updates or address queries.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness when managing purchase orders and supplier communication.
- Adaptability: Flexible approach to assisting with various tasks as needed.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to use initiative and apply intelligence to tasks, going beyond simple data entry.
- IT Skills: Comfortable using computers and software for email, data updates, and record management.
- Teamwork: Able to listen, follow instructions, and understand the broader impact of supplier issues on production and commercial operations.
