About the Role:Reed are working alongside a fantastic double form entry primary school in St.Neots, Cambridge, they are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic school in St. Neots, Cambridge. This full-time position involves supporting a Year 5 pupil with severe Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The pupil requires full-time support throughout the school day, including assistance with classwork set by the teacher, supervision during lunchtime and break times, and management of behaviour and mood.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a Year 5 pupil with severe ASD.
  • Assist the pupil with classwork and ensure they are engaged and supported.
  • Supervise the pupil during lunchtime and break times.
  • Manage the pupil's behaviour and mood throughout the day.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and class teacher to create and implement a plan to help the pupil reach their full educational potential.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Experience working with Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) pupils.
  • Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills.
  • A DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
