Are you a qualified or part qualified accountant looking for an opportunity to grow and learn within a business? This role will work closely with the Head of Finance, in providing value to the leadership team, ensuring they have the relevant management information to make key business decisions and support with setting the future strategy.

Duties of the Commercial Accountant

  • Prepare comprehensive quarterly mortgage provision calculations and accompanying papers ready for approval by the Credit Committee. This will involve liaising with the Chief Operating Officer and Mortgage Team to understand the mortgage cases that are at risk of default.
  • Assist the Chief Customer Officer in setting forecasts for both mortgages and savings, ensuring that all assumptions are robust and are in line with the long-term strategy
  • Prepare financial costings for new products and advise of any regulatory impacts that these
  • Assist the Head of Finance in preparing the ICAAP and ILAAP documents ready for review by the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
  • Involved in Financial Planning and modelling duties.

The successful individual will possess:

  • Qualified or part qualified in ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW (if part qualified, you must be committed to finishing your studies)
  • Prior experience of spreadsheet modelling
  • Previous experience of accounts preparation or audits.
