We are currently recruiting for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer for a 12-month contract based in Stafford.

This role is essential for ensuring that all external suppliers provide materials and services that meet our company's high quality standards. You will be responsible for safeguarding product integrity and customer satisfaction by assessing supplier processes, monitoring performance, managing relationships and driving continuous improvement to prevent defects.

  • Location: Stafford

  • Contract: 12-month contract

  • Pay Rate: 29.10 - 31.10 per hour

  • Work Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:30 - 16:30, and Friday 08:30 - 13:30







Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality system audits, process audits, and product inspections to verify supplier compliance with requirements.

  • Track and evaluate supplier performance data, identifying areas for improvement.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to identify and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.

  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers.

  • Lead initiatives to improve supplier processes, ensuring they meet the company's quality standards and design intent.

  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier performance and the overall supply chain.

  • Collect, analyse, and summarise data to prepare reports on supplier quality and performance.

  • Ensure suppliers comply with industry standards, regulations, and customer-specific needs.




The ideal candidate will have:

  • Sound process knowledge in casting, Machining, Tubes & Hoses, and Electrical & Electronics components.

  • Experience in quality assurance, supplier management, process improvement, and a solid knowledge of manufacturing processes.

  • Strong knowledge of quality tools, including APQP, PPAP, and Root Cause Analysis.

  • Experience in Supplier Quality Management, preferably within the engine manufacturing industry.

  • Strong leadership , project management , and analytical skills.

  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
