Our client, a well-respected charity, dedicated to supporting victims of crime and traumatic incidents, are looking for a CYP Domestic Abuse Caseworker to join their team.

 

You would be supporting children and young people who have been impacted by Domestic Abuse.

 

Synopsis of duties:

  • Supporting children and young people ages 4 - 17 affected by domestic abuse.
  • Delivering 1-1 support sessions out in the community to address the needs of children and young people who been victims of domestic abuse, including schools and appropriate community venues.
  • Managing a caseload of children and young people, ensuring that individual support needs are met.
  • Providing tailored support to meet their needs, devising tailored support plans and conducting risk and needs assessments.
  • Assisting in delivering a virtual group programme occasionally to CYP and parents/carers.
  • Facilitating access additional services through signposting.
  • Multiagency working to improve the outcomes for the children and young people.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working with vulnerable children and young people who have experienced trauma
  • Must understand the impact of crime on victims, such as: Domestic Abuse, Sexual Violence, Hate Crime and Antisocial Behaviour)
  • Experience managing a caseload
  • Experience conducting risk and needs assessments
  • Knowledge of the Criminal Justice System
  • Must drive and have access to a vehicle
  • Must have an enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months or on the update service
