We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategic Inventory Analyst to assist in managing the Procurement & Supply Chain department within the Industrial / Manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and have a passion for improving operational efficiency in inventory management. This role would suit a candidate who is familiar with high SKU volumes and interpreting the data to improve accuracies.

Description

  • Oversee inventory and supply chain management according to company guidelines.
  • Perform critical inventory tasks to ensure the correct amount of items are in stock.
  • Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts.
  • Review documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies; troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records.
  • Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximise efficiency and cut operations costs.
  • Respond to sales inquiries and purchase orders; collect and analyse data to prepare reports and forecasts.
  • Develop strategies to better optimise inventory control procedures.
  • Ensure that all procurement processes comply with industry regulations.

Profile

A successful Inventory Analyst should have:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong understanding of forecasting and inventory management software and processes
  • High-level organisational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
