We are working with a leading facilities and engineering services provider to recruit an experienced Multiskilled Engineer to join their on-site engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with a broad skill set to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across buildings, plant, and production equipment.

You will be part of a small shift team and participate in an on-call rota, ensuring the site operates safely and efficiently at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across buildings, plant, and production equipment.

  • Work effectively as part of a 2-person shift team.

  • Participate in the engineering on-call rota.

  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs across mechanical and multiskilled areas.

  • Follow Method Statements and Risk Assessments to ensure safe working practices.

  • Support Manager and Supervisor in supervising engineering subcontractors and ensuring compliance with contractual and site requirements.

  • Maintain strong working relationships with CBRE colleagues and client staff.

  • Keep logbooks, shift handover notes, and client reporting systems accurate and up to date.

  • Be flexible with overtime and additional site requirements.

  • Identify, report, and mitigate potential hazards.

  • Issue and manage controls within the Permit to Work and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) systems.

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Good written and spoken English, strong maths, and IT skills.

  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Broad mechanical maintenance experience (PPM & reactive).

  • Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

  • Understanding of health & safety regulations relating to maintenance.

  • Calm, organised, and able to work under pressure.

  • Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently or in a team.

  • Strong customer service focus.

Desirable:

  • Experience in multiskilled disciplines: pipefitting, welding, steam boilers, electrical, fabric, water hygiene, painting, carpentry.

  • Formal Health & Safety training, Legionella Awareness, IPAF certification.

  • Experience supervising subcontractors or working in a production/facilities environment.
