Our client is seeking a dedicated and proactive Health and Safety Business Partner to join their dynamic team.
About the Role:
As a Health and Safety Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive safety culture across the organisation. Your expertise will guide teams in implementing the Safety Management System and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, including the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with management teams to support the implementation of the Safety Management System.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert for the Construction Division, providing technical support to the Property and Client teams.
- Conduct task analyses for new and existing workstreams to identify and mitigate risks.
- Develop and maintain Risk Assessment Manuals and Method Statements for various workstreams.
- Lead health and safety audits and inspections, reporting findings to management.
- Manage health and safety training needs, developing and delivering training programmes as required.
- Oversee incidents and accidents, ensuring thorough investigations and compliance with RIDDOR regulations.
What You'll Bring:
- Qualifications: - NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.
- - CMIOSH, TECH IOSH, or GRAD IOSH membership.
- - NEBOSH Fire Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- - Technical competence in Hand Arm Vibration and Noise at Work.
Experience:
- Proven track record in health and safety management within high-risk organisations, particularly in housing or construction.
- Basic knowledge of fire, legionella, and asbestos risks.
- Strong communicator who can engage at different levels
Skills:
- Strong ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent report writing and communications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- A proactive and innovative mindset, capable of managing multiple issues effectively.
