BUSINESS ANALYST - STAFFORD - UP TO £60,000 DOE - HYBRID (2-3 DAYS IN OFFICE)

I have just partnered with an IT consultancy based in Staffordshire, who are looking for a business analyst to join their team a as consultant to assist the finance systems implementation division.

Key Responsibilities and Activities:

  • Assess existing financial planning processes, systems, and data structures.
  • Gather, document, and validate comprehensive business requirements.
  • Map current business processes and design appropriate solution architectures.
  • Evaluate Planful module options and provide implementation recommendations.
  • Prepare detailed functional specifications for system configuration and integration.
  • Design and document test scenarios and user acceptance testing (UAT) protocols.
  • Support change management initiatives and assist in the development of training materials.
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Identify risks and dependencies
  • Propose mitigation strategies.
  • Document the current state of financial planning and operational practices.
  • Analyse the potential for a modular implementation approach to reduce risk.
  • Map and review existing planning methodologies.
  • Contribute to implementation planning and phasing.

Required Skills

  • Over three years' experience as a Business Analyst focused on financial systems implementation.
  • Strong capability in gathering requirements, designing functional solutions, and managing stakeholders at both executive and operational levels.
  • Solid understanding of data integration across financial platforms and systems.
  • Experience with EPM/FP&A tools (e.g. Planful, Anaplan etc.)
  • Proven ability to support modular and phased software implementations in complex environments.
  • Background in finance technology ecosystems and business transformation programmes.
  • Familiarity with agile delivery methodologies.
  • Preferable experience working with agencies or clients in the media and entertainment sectors.

Qualification requirements

Educated to a degree level in a relevant field (Business, Finance etc.)

Business Analysis certification(s) (e.g. CBAP, PMI-PBA etc.)

Qualification preferences

Financial or accounting qualifications (ACCA, CIMA etc.)

Project management certifications (e.g. Prince2, APM, CSM etc.)
