Adepto are pleased to be supporting one of our clients with the hire of a Project Engineer to be based at their site in Staffordshire.

As a specialist in the provision of innovative, cost-effective process equipment solutions, their client and project portfolio spans a range of heavy industries from chemical, petrochemical and Oil & Gas to name a few.

Now, due to continued growth and an increasing order book, they are looking to expand their team with the addition of a Project Engineer, with background in process/chemical engineering.

As the Project Engineer you will:

  • Support development and delivery of technical project scopes per standards and requirements.
  • Prepare and review engineering documents: P&IDs, PFDs, datasheets, fabrication drawings, specs.
  • Assist in vendor technical evaluations ensuring compliance with specs and standards.
  • Apply economic thinking considering cost, value, and trade-offs in solutions.
  • Participate in inspections, testing, and commissioning to meet project standards.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to align technical deliverables with project timelines.
  • Seek and act on feedback to grow professionally and help others develop.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Proven experience in delivering technical engineering work for projects in the oil & gas, chemicals, or petrochemicals industries.
  • Familiarity with P&ID and PFD development, as well as the preparation of technical documentation.
  • Strong understanding of engineering codes, standards, and quality requirements.
  • Well versed in interaction amongst EPC organisations, including the control of and engagement with.
  • It would be considered hugely advantageous if you have experience working with modular systems and pressure vessels.
