Project Manager Permanent NEC4 / Construction - Staffordshire - £65k + hybrid working + bonus + 30 days annual leave + BUPA

Ambitious, growing company is recruiting for a Degree qualified Project Manager to work in the defence sector with experience of working on major construction projects; delivering projects to NEC4 contracts whilst interfacing with multiple sub-contracting companies.

Key aspects of the Project Manager role include

  • Must have NEC4 contracts experience ideally from a construction background (could come from an EC&I or electrical engineering background)
  • Be able to hold your own with third-party contractors and other suppliers working on site and be able to stand your ground when required! This role needs a seasoned Project Manager who is hardened to dealing with politics, pressure as well as joining a long-term project towards the end stages of its life cycle.
  • Project Manager role will involve a significant amount of coordination and scheduling as multiple contractors will be working in one part of the plant, at the same time, with varying disciplines, time pressures and personnel involved.
  • The successful Project Manager will be delivering multiple systems onto the plant, including control systems and functional safety systems that will control the process thats being set up
  • Youll need to be a British passport holder and have lived in the UK for at least the last 5 years, as youll be put through security clearance if you havent already got it.
  • Due to the level of security clearance involved the Project Manager cant hold dual nationality.
  • Youll need to comfortable working the defence sector
  • The management team encourages a sensible work-life balance which encourages everyone to leave the office by 4.30pm daily and have 30 days holiday per year, as well as the statutory Bank Holidays
  • Role will initially be based from the Stafford office (3 days per week) and home (2 days per week) then when the project reaches in the installation / commissioning phase, regular visits to Berkshire will be involved

Project Manager package -

  • Up to 10% bonus
  • 30 days holiday + statutory days
  • Private healthcare includes family members after 6 months service
  • 6% pension contribution
  • 2 days a week from home (everyone works from home on Mondays and Fridays)

The clients' offices are easily commutable from Stoke, Stafford, Cannock, Lichfield, Telford, Uttoxeter, Stone.
