As an English Teacher, you will deliver dynamic and creative lessons that encourage students to engage with reading, writing, and discussion. Your passion for the subject will help pupils develop essential communication skills and an appreciation for literature, preparing them for success in school and beyond.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging English lessons.
• Supporting students in developing their reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills.
• Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing feedback to support learning.
• Creating an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and respect.
• Maintaining high standards of classroom management and student behaviour.
• Working closely with colleagues and school leadership to ensure high-quality education.
• Supporting students with different learning needs.
• Participating in school events and contributing to wider school life.

Candidate Expectations:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), ECT, or Overseas Teaching Qualification.
• Experience teaching English in a school setting is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and a creative approach to delivery.
• Passionate about supporting students' academic and personal growth
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• An up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education).
