Fitter for Van Conversions

We are currently seeking a skilled Fitter for Van Conversions to join our dynamic team located in the Staffordshire area. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the customization and conversion of vans, ensuring that all work meets the highest quality standards.
Main Responsibilities:
Expertly fit and assemble various components, including interiors and external fixtures, specific to our bespoke van conversion projects.
Utilize hand tools and power tools to modify, install, and ensure the integration of parts seamlessly.
Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve production goals and deadlines.
Follow safety protocols while maintaining a tidy and organized workspace.
Perform quality checks on finished work to ensure adherence to specifications and customer expectations.
Keep inventory of tools and equipment and report any malfunctions or needs for replacements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in van conversions or automotive fitting, with a focus on customizing interiors and exteriors.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a relevant workshop or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of relevant tools and machinery used in the conversion process.
- NVQ or Equivalent Qualifications in Automotive or Related Fields.
- Must own suitable tools to perform the job functions efficiently.
Working hours are Monday to Thursday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am - 2:00 pm.
