Location: Staines
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, approx. 07:30 AM - 17:30 PM (subject to delivery schedule)
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
Pay Rate: 14.80 per hour
Job Overview
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced 7.5-tonne Lorry Driver to join our team. This role involves both driving and warehouse support, offering variety and hands-on work. If you're passionate about logistics, customer service, and teamwork, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Delivery
- Operate a 7.5-tonne lorry safely and efficiently.
- Deliver goods to various locations, ensuring timely and professional service.
- Load and unload goods securely.
- Follow planned delivery routes and schedules.
- Conduct routine vehicle checks and report issues.
- Maintain accurate delivery and vehicle maintenance records.
- Comply with traffic laws and company policies.
Warehouse Support
- Assist with receiving, storing, and organising inventory.
- Pick and pack orders accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organising warehouse.
- Perform regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
Requirements
- Valid UK driver's licence with entitlement to drive 7.5-tonne vehicles.
- Proven experience as a lorry driver.
- Warehouse experience is a plus.
- Physically fit - able to lift and carry heavy items.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Good knowledge of local roads and routes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
