Milk Education is proud to be partnering with a nurturing primary school in Staines to appoint a compassionate and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed to making a meaningful difference in the life of a child with additional needs.

About the Role:

You'll be supporting a child on a 1:1 basis, helping them navigate their learning journey in a mainstream classroom environment. The child may have needs such as Autism, ADHD, or SEMH, so we’re looking for someone who is calm, adaptable, and genuinely passionate about inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver 1:1 support in class, adapting tasks to meet the individual needs of the child

  • Assist with the planning and delivery of engaging, supportive activities

  • Foster a safe, respectful, and encouraging environment

  • Work alongside the class teacher and SENCo to support learning and emotional development

  • Promote independence and confidence in day-to-day activities

  • Support with classroom preparation and behaviour management

  • Experience working with children with additional needs (school or care-based settings)

  • A positive, proactive, and patient attitude

  • Flexibility and resilience in a busy school environment

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships

  • Relevant qualifications or recent graduates with SEND experience are welcome
