Our client is a market leader providing high efficiency Humidification, dehumidification and HVAC products to their clients across the UK.  They treat their Engineers well and pay door to door. Due to growth and expansion plans the company would like to recruit a well-motivated Field Service Engineer to provide customer support and technical back up to customers.

The role is for a Field Service Engineer providing regular and routine field service, maintenance and troubleshooting for planned maintenance contract customers. You will work closely with the Planned Maintenance co-ordinator to ensure visits are scheduled as efficiently and effectively as possible. You will also be required to attend breakdown, servicing, commissioning to non - contract maintenance customers as and when required and to assist with installation work and training from time to time.

 Main responsibilities:

• Attend site as instructed to carry out servicing, repair, installation, commissioning and planned maintenance of humidifiers and dehumidifiers throughout the UK.

• Bring any issue affecting the equipment’s performance or safety to the user’s attention and recommend suitable remedial actions.

• Provide written reports summarising the work done, parts used, remedial work and corresponding parts required on completion of each service call.

• Complete all relevant and necessary in house or external training tasks within specific timescales.

Specific responsibilities:

• Regularly review your schedule of service and installation calls to ensure you fully understand the overall requirements of each job both technically and logistically.

• Follow the company’s service and installation process to ensure you provide the highest level of customer satisfaction.

• Promote our products and services over the phone and on-site during service visits.

• Always keep suitable and sufficient levels of spare parts, materials, and consumables on your vehicle.

• Ensure all stock movements between the warehouse, vehicles and site are recorded correctly.

• Carry out relevant and necessary in house or external training

Skills and Experience Required:

• Experience in any mechanical, electrical or HVAC trade e.g. Electrician, heating, plumbing, refrigeration, Building Maintenance Engineer, HVAC.

• Solid understanding of mechanical/electrical services, air conditioning, air handling gained through work experience and/or study.

• Valid driving licence.

• Customer friendly approach

• Excellent at planning and prioritising.

• Sound analytical and logical thinker.

• Self-confidence and able to use your own initiative.

• Keen to learn and build a career as a Humidification Engineer

• Based in the Midlands with good access to the motorway network.
