Shift Supervisor

Day shift - 06.00-17.00

Night shift - 17.00-04.00

Role and ResponsibilitiesFull responsibility for the shift in question, including but not limited to: Running the facility, maximising production, completion of paperwork, supervision of all associated staff etc.Ensure the Companies GM & Production Manager is aware of all functions, processes, concerns, and requirements at all times.To take full responsibility of the shift in terms of management of staff, management ofproduction and quality targets and to ensure the smooth running of the production processes.To take full responsibility of the quality and product that is produced within the shift in line.with the company’s quality systems, processes, and proceduresManage, develop, and motivate direct reporting staff.Monitor, measure and report on production related process performance, general issuesTo maximise facility production time, minimising down time and non-productive hours worked.To ensure good communication is given either verbally or written to all members of staff.To ensure all requirement documentation is completed in a timely, accurate and detailed manner.To ensure that Health and Safety rules and regulations are adhered to during the shift and allmatters relating to this are dealt with using the resources within the company in line with thecompanies Health and Safety policyProblem solving and troubling shooting skills are used to ensure that all team members can.identify root causes and take fast effective action to resolve the problems in hand.To work closely with other Shift Supervisors to ensure production handovers are effective.To ensure that the training skills are met for current and future demands of the shift.To have an active role in the company’s continuous improvement plan to achieve plans forfuture growth within the companyMaintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace.All employees are responsible for ensuring company resources are used in an effectivemanner to ensure best operating costs.To champion the company’s policies, programmes, and systems of work.

EXPERIENCEExperience with working in a high-volume processing facility (does not have to be waste related) with knowledge and have experience manning the plant directly.Engineering/Maintenance/Electrical Experience Strong Project Management Skills Worked within the waste / recycling Industry. Previous Experience of Implementing Planned Maintenance Schedules Managed, Nurtured & Developed StaffExperience with PLCs and automated processing equipment

Qualifications and Education Requirements· NEBOSH qualification will be a distinct advantage.· COTC desirable· Operators’ certificates for Loading Shovels, Material Handlers, Forklifts, Telehandlers, Gene Booms etc advantageous.

Additional NotesAs a Shift Supervisor for the company, you will be at the front-line of making things work. You will have direct responsibility for ensuring the plant runs efficiently and effectively and has the ability to process materials for a total of 55 hours per week Mon-Fri & weekend shifts as required, extra renumeration paid for every additional shift worked.

You will be required to work closely with all company personnel ensuring a Safety-First Culture is embedded, understood, and delivered - challenging areas of concern and promoting good practice.
