An international IT company are currently partnering with Holden Jones to recruit a new Finance Assistant to cover one specific business unit in its entirety. The accounts team is multi-site and growing consistently. Working alongside the Financial Controller, the individual will provide finance support from transactions to assisting with the preparation of management accounts. The key areas of responsibility will be:
  • Raising and posting customer invoices
  • Posting of month end revenue and cost journals.
  • Calculation and posting of month end prepayments, depreciation, and accruals journals.
  • Checking timesheet processes with operational staff
  • Production of monthly management accounts
  • Producing Revenue & Cost reports
  • Analysis of the above to identify any unexpected differences.
  • Production of month end balance sheet reconciliations
  • Month end performance analysis
  • Assistance with audit enquiries
Suitable applicants will have strong experience in recording transactional accounting and bookkeeping, working both independently and in a team, to meet tight deadlines. You will have a detailed, methodical approach to work with excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with different stakeholders. An aptitude for IT systems including confident Excel skills is essential with knowledge of Sage a benefit. The role could possibly suit an AAT qualified individual and would provide further study support if required. The company offers some flexibility on the structure of hours if required and hybrid working once established in the role.
