JA1421 – Commercial Vehicle Technicianlocation - Heathrow, Greater LondonType – PermanentSalary – OTE C£40KOverview:We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Vehicle Technician to join our client’s national vehicle business. The successful candidate will spend their first 2 days in the business, attending our client’s fantastic residential induction academy. This is at a lovely hotel in the heart of the Northampton countryside, where you’ll learn all about their business before you start your new role.During your first 12 months of Employment, you will be trained to IMI Level 3 in Electric Vehicle Maintenance and repair to ensure your skills remain relevant throughout your career with our client.Job Purpose:To drive the standard in customer care and maximise customer satisfaction by ensuring all Smart Repairs undertaken are on time and of the highest standard of quality. To motivate technicians to ensure a high level of productivity and quality. You’ll demonstrate the Company’s Purpose, Principles, and Ambition (PPA) in all dealings with colleagues, customer and prospects.Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the highest possible levels of technical advice, service and maintenance to all customers, on Ford and other brand vehicles.
  • Work within the relevant protocols, as dictated by legislation, the company, the manufacturer and relevant suppliers always.
  • Assist Senior and Master Technicians and undertake learning and development as prescribed.
  • Maintain comprehensive records, in an appropriate and timely fashion, and ensure colleagues do the same.
  • Create and maintain a supportive culture for all colleagues in line with the Company’s PPA.
  • Commit to ongoing learning and development.
  • Deliver all services in the most resource-effective manner possible.
  • To ensure the skills and the knowledge of the Technicians are kept up to date, by providing supervision, training and guidance and by ensuring the technical information is distributed and understood.

Skills & Experience:Essential

  • ATA accredited, plus fully qualified – City & Guilds or NVQ qualification.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage processes, administration and paperwork.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to support, coach, and counsel and develop colleagues and junior team members.
  • Full driving license held for a minimum of 6 months with fewer than 9 penalty points.
  • Evidence of ‘Right to work in the UK’

Desirable

  • Already demonstrates considerable skill and recognition as a qualified Vehicle Service Repair Technician.
  • Understands the needs of both customers and the company and demonstrates this in their work.
  • Takes ownership in all aspects of their role, working without close supervision and
  • demonstrating effective self-management.
  • Demonstrates resilience, self-motivation and a commitment to self-development, actively seeking positive feedback.
