I am thrilled to present a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher looking to work in Stalyhill within a beautiful school and be a welcome addition to the KS1 department. This role is on a fixed term contract from September 2025 - July 2026 and will pay MPS 1-6.

This school has an extraordinary charm and ethos which holds the children at the heart of all decisions. The school is led by an experienced Headteacher along with a highly-skilled, committed team who strive for success for all children. The school aims to build on the secure foundations and current achievements within a supportive, inclusive and safe environment.

KS1 Teacher

As the KS1 teacher, you will be familiar with the national curriculum and age-related expectations for this primary phase. You will have strong subject knowledge across all core subjects and ideally have experience with the Read Write Inc phonics programme. You will be able to demonstrate your creative flair in foundation subjects linking all learning to real life situations and creating engaging, purposeful learning experiences.

Key responsibilities will include:

-Delivering engaging and creative lessons in line with National curriculum standards for KS1

-Following the Read Write Inc phonics programme and support children to become fluent, confident and passionate readers

-Use effective modelling to demonstrate concepts, methods and support children with reasoning and critical thinking skills

-Link learning to real life scenarios, encouraging active participation and collaboration

-Use formative and summative assessment strategies effectively to determine the need for intervention and to address misconceptions and drive progress

-Have a nurturing approach with the class and build strong relationships with children, staff and families

-Be a fantastic team player and liaise well with the classroom TA

-Contribute to all aspects of school life.
