Tradewind are seeking a committed KS2 teacher with ambition and drive to lead a Year 4 class from September with the potential of permanency!

An exciting opportunity presents for an experienced teacher looking to work in Stalybridge, Tameside within a beautiful school and be a welcome addition to the KS2 department. This is a long-term role paid to scale from September, with the potential of a permanent role for the right candidate. Both ECT's and experienced teachers are welcome to apply but direct teaching experience of the KS2 curriculum is essential.

Year 4 Teacher

As the Year 4 teacher, you will be familiar with the national curriculum and age-related expectations for this primary phase. You will have experience in directed activities as well as continuous provision and be willing to link learning to real life experiences. The school supports values such as aspiration, respect, leaderships, inspiration, excellence and self-belief.

Key responsibilities will include:

-Delivering engaging and creative lessons in line with National curriculum standards

-Planning and delivering effect Maths lessons so pupils are fluent in the fundamentals and can achieve proficiently and conceptual understanding

-Plan English to exciting texts, developing reading for pleasure and carefully chosen language

-Link learning to real life scenarios, encouraging active participation and collaboration

-Use formative and summative assessment strategies effectively to determine the need for intervention and to address misconceptions and drive progress

-Have a nurturing approach with the class and build strong relationships with children, staff and families

-Be a fantastic team player to communicate and inform the TA of daily activities

-Contribute to the wider life of the school
