Job Title: Plumbing Assessor

Position: Full-Time

Role type: Permanent

Location: Lincolnshire

This role involves taking responsibility for a caseload of apprentices and work-based learners, developing and delivering high-quality assessments in line with qualification requirements and apprenticeship standards. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring learners achieve their objectives efficiently, contributing to the improvement of achievement and timeliness rates for the College's provision.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Be accountable for an agreed caseload of apprentices/work-based learners.
  • Develop, plan, and deliver quality assessment to meet the requirements of the qualification or apprenticeship framework/standard.
  • Ensure apprentices achieve their learning and development objectives in a timely manner.
  • Educate employers about changes or developments in the skills sector relevant to their industrial area.
  • Maintain high standards of learner behaviour and address any inappropriate behaviours in both College and workplace settings.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Recent relevant experience in the plumbing industry with high-level practical skills.
  • Minimum of Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE English Language and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or other Level 2 equivalent qualifications).
  • Level 3 Assessment & Quality Assurance or equivalent, or willingness to work towards obtaining this within 6 months.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and raise aspirations of learners through enthusiasm and knowledge of the plumbing sector.
  • Demonstrable professional manner and capability to maintain high standards of teaching and assessment.
