Mechanical Technician - Leading Distribution Business
Salary: £62,500 (+ Bonus up to 10% = Circa £6000)
Shift: Panama - 2s and 3s (Days and Nights)
Location: London Gateway Port, Stanford-le-Hope
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician/Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading distribution business at London Gateway Port. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, ensuring the smooth operation of mechanical systems within a large-scale logistics facility.
Skills Required for the Mechanical Technician:
- Recognised mechanical qualification (Min NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3)
- Experience with mechanical maintenance, installations, and fault-finding
- Strong understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
- Experience working with cranes, conveyors, gearboxes, motors, and bearings
- MUST BE COMFORTABLE WORKING AT HEIGHTS
Duties of the Mechanical Technician:
- Mechanical maintenance, repairs, and installations within a busy distribution centre
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical faults to minimise downtime
- Conducting routine servicing and inspections of mechanical equipment
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
