Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical Fitting, with the ability to work with various materials, hand and power tools. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling and fabricating components to meet precise specifications for purpose built machinery, while ensuring quality and safety standards are upheld.

Responsibilities

Assemble and fabricate metal components using hand tools and power tools.
Perform drilling and tapping.
Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly.
Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members to improve processes and resolve any issues that arise during production.

Skills

Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for mechanical fitting and assembly.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
Familiarity with working on bespoke machinery is advantageous.
Ability to assemble components accurately according to specifications.
IPAF 3a and/or 3b Certificate
